Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Town of Fort Edward

Mariners are advised of bridge rehabilitation activities on the Lock C6 bridge (C-11) over the Champlain Canal now through the rest of the navigation season. Scaffolding hanging below the structure will reduce overhead clearance but not below the governing height of 17 feet for the Champlain Canal.

Mariners are to reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
