Erie Canal – Scotia

June 29, 2016

Mariners are advised the portion of the Erie Canal in the vicinity of the Scotia Village Docks (mile 21.27) will be within the 400’ safe fallout radius of the Independence Day celebration fireworks show to start at dusk on Friday, July 1^st.  It is expected that there will be a number of anchored spectator vessels who might temporarily encroach upon the navigation channel.

Additionally, Lock E-7 Vischer Ferry will operate until midnight on Friday to accommodate spectator vessels.
