Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Towns of Clifton Park & Niskayuna

May 16, 2016

 

Mariners are advised that the replacement of Bridge E-8 over the Mohawk River is scheduled to commence Monday, May 16th and continue through the 2016 navigation season.  Construction activities in the early part of the project are not anticipated to encroach upon the navigation channel, but increased project-related traffic is anticipated.  Signs will mark the work zone.  Updates will follow as the project progresses.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
