Erie Canal – Towns of Brutus & Cato

Mariners are advised that the Route 34 bridge (E-83) over the Erie Canal near Weedsport is undergoing repairs from now through the end of the navigation season.  Work boats and equipment may occasionally cause a channel width reduction or slight delays. 

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
