Short term canal closure delayed: Erie Canal Lock E30; Now Fri, Oct 30, periodically throughout the day

Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Macedon

October 28, 2015

 

Mariners are advised that the closure of the Erie Canal immediately upstream of, and including, Lock E-30 (Macedon) to all vessel traffic originally scheduled for Thursday, October 29th due to marine operations blocking the channel at the upper approach, has been delayed until Friday, October 30th.  Though this section of the Canal may reopen to vessel traffic during the day, mariners should expect significant delays in this location and should plan accordingly.
