Reduced overhead clearance: Erie Canal between Lock E26 Clyde and Lock E27 Lyons; due to high water.

Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Clyde

October 11, 2015

 

Mariners are advised of lower than published overhead clearances due to a temporarily higher than usual water surface level on the western Erie Canal between Lock E-26 (Clyde) and Lock E-27 (Lyons).  The lowest bridge on this section of canal is Bridge E-93 (railroad).  The air draft under this bridge is currently 15.43 feet.  It is anticipated that clearances in this area will return to normal with the next 24 hours.
