Notice to Mariners

Hudson River – Albany

August 7, 2015

 

Mariners are advised that the Amtrak Railroad Swing Bridge (otherwise known as the Livingston Ave Bridge) in Albany is currently inoperable.  The overhead clearance is now fixed at 25’. Vessels with masts or other vertical appendages that must be lowered prior to entering the New York State Canal System in Waterford must do so south of this bridge for now. Repairs are underway and expected to be completed Sunday, August 9th or Monday, August 10th.
