Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Cities of Tonawanda & North Tonawanda

July 21, 2015

 

Mariners are advised of the following navigation restrictions on the Erie Canal between the CSX railroad bridge (E-246) and Webster Street (E-248) this coming weekend related to Canal Fest of the Tonawandas:

Saturday, July 25th        

  • 3:00 PM - Rubber Duck Race (45 minutes), no traffic near the event
  • 6:00 PM - Sika Cup Challenge Race (1.5 hours), no traffic near the event
  • Dusk - Boat Parade (45 minutes), no traffic near the flotilla

Sunday, July 26th

  • Dusk - Fireworks (1 hour, 15 minutes), canal section closed to traffic
