Swimming leg of triathlon to take place in Cayuga-Seneca Canal near Geneva on mornings of July 11 & 12.

Notice to Mariners

Cayuga-Seneca Canal - Geneva

July 8, 2015

 

Mariners are advised that the swimming portions of the “Musselman Triathlon" will be held on the mornings of Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th. The event will take place at the mouth of the Seneca Lake Outlet, at the north end of the lake, north to the Rte. 96A Bridge (S-13A).

Triathlon swimmers will be in the water from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 11th and 7:00 to 9:00 AM on Sunday, July 12th. Law enforcement patrol boats and support kayaks will be in the vicinity of the course.

Mariners are advised to use caution and be mindful of their wakes in this area. There will be a total of 800 to 900 participants, in groups of 100 to 150 swimmers each.
