Bridge Construction – Erie Canal – Amsterdam

Mariners are advised that Bridge E-19B has been established over the Erie Canal in the City of Amsterdam, immediately upstream of Bridge E-19A.  The overhead clearance of this new pedestrian bridge is 27.08’ at normal navigation pool, and 24.62’ at maximum navigation pool.  Bridge construction is ongoing and construction vessels continue to encroach into the navigation channel.  Auxiliary (uncharted) navigation buoys have been placed to guide vessel traffic through the project.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
