Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal/Cayuga-Seneca Canal – Baldwinsville to Montezuma area

June 10, 2015

Mariners are advised that due to heavy rainfall producing high water levels, the following section of the Canal System has closed to navigation, effective immediately:

• Erie Canal from Lock E-24 (Baldwinsville) to Lock E-25 (Mays Point).

• Cayuga-Seneca Canal from Lock CS-1 (Aurelius) to Erie Canal junction.

This section of the Canal System will be reopened as soon as conditions are safe for navigation.
