Mariners are advised that Guard Gate #2 on the Waterford Flight is now in the down position and will be operated on-demand for vessel traffic.
Guard Gate #1 (0.25 miles east), which is a backup guard gate typically left open during the navigation season, had been temporarily used as the control gate, and is now secured in the up position.
Guard Gate #2 will be notified by Lock E-6 of any westbound vessel traffic and will be opened automatically. Eastbound vessel traffic should contact Guard Gate #2 on approach via channel 13 VHF or at (518) 237-0833.
