Erie Canal – Scotia

September 20, 2023

Mariners are advised that they may experience heavier than usual currents downstream (east of) and lower than normal water levels above (west of) Erie Canal Lock E-8 in Scotia during the day on Thursday, September 21st, due to repair work activities on the moveable dam.

Boaters should also use caution entering and exiting the lock due to work boat activity in the vicinity of the lock.
