Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal

August 11, 2023

Mariners are advised that Oswego Canal Lock O-1 (Phoenix) to Lock O-7 (Oswego), that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen to navigation at 7:00AM, Saturday, 8/12/2023.

Boaters should be aware of remaining high flows, floating debris, and potential buoys that are off station that have been generated by recent heavy rainfall.  Boaters should proceed with caution, at a "No Wake" speed as some debris may be hard to see. Boaters should also verify overhead clearances at bridges before proceeding.
