Western Erie Canal – Brighton
June 21, 2023
Mariners are advised of an underwater inspection occurring on the Erie Canal on the following schedule:
- Thursday, June 22nd – West of Erie Canal Lock E-33 in Rochester and just east of Winton Rd. Bridge E-43 over the Erie Canal, along the southern half of the navigation channel.
The inspection area will be marked by a diver’s boat and commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting this area.
