Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Frankfort

September 30, 2020

Mariners are advised that the water level along this Mohawk River section of the Erie Canal has subsided enough that the governing clearance of Railroad Bridge E-40 in Frankfort is back to the standard clearance of 21’.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time. For more information, please click here.
