Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Baldwinsville to Onondaga Lake

August 5, 2022

Mariners are advised that a paddling event will be taking place on Saturday, August 6th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Approximately 150 kayaks/canoes will be participating in the event. The course starts at Mercer Memorial Park, continues through Erie Canal Lock E-24 in Baldwinsville, and finishes at Onondaga Lake Park-Willow Bay. Law enforcement will be present.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when   approaching event participants.
