Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Amsterdam

July 31, 2022

Mariners are advised of riprap installation and navigation light replacement activities beneath the New York Route 30 Bridge (E-19A) over the Erie Canal starting on Monday, August 1st, 2022. It is anticipated that these activities will be concluded by end of the day on Friday, September 30th, 2022. A barge and workboat will encroach on and be moving in the navigation channel beneath the bridge.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when traversing this area.
