Notice to Mariners

Oswego & Erie Canals – Oswego, Fulton, and Brewerton

June 27, 2022

Mariners are advised of underwater inspections occurring on the Oswego and Erie Canals, starting on the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, June 28 – Oswego Canal Lock O-7 (Oswego) – Lock and Gate Areas
  • Wednesday, June 29 – Oswego Canal Lock O-2 (Fulton) – Lock and Gate Areas
  • Thursday, June 30 – Erie Canal Lock E-23 (Brewerton) – Lock and Gate Areas

The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting these areas.
