Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Frankfort to Whitesboro

September 28, 2020

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal between Lock E-19 in Frankfort and Lock E-20 in Whitesboro that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners has reopened to navigation.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. All recreational and commercial vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time. For more information, click here.
