Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Seneca River

September 14, 2020

Mariners are advised of electrical conductor replacement work by National Grid over the Erie Canal. This work will occur on Wednesday, September 16th until the end of the day, depending on weather. The worksite location is between Buoy G "267A" and Buoy G "269" in Lysander.

Spotters will alert workers of approaching vessels who will suspend work to allow vessels to pass through the work area. Mariners must reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when traversing the work area.
