Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Palmyra

August 21, 2020

Mariners are advised that the navigation channel width east of Erie Canal Lock E-29 in Palmyra is narrowed, and dredging operations are in progress in that area of the Canal. The narrowed navigation channel is marked by a red and a green buoy. 

Boaters should reduce speed observe auxiliary buoys and proceed with caution when traversing this area.
