Erie Canal – New London/Sylvan Beach

July 2, 2020

Mariners are advised that the width of the navigation channel will be restricted at the site of the Higginsville Road Bridge E-60 over the Erie Canal by a lighted barge that will be moved to different areas of the channel starting on Tuesday, July 7th and will continue until at least the end of the month of July. This bridge site is located between Erie Canal Lock E-22 in New London and Sylvan Beach.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when traversing this area.
