Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Fairport

June 26, 2020

 

Mariners are advised that the Main Street Lift Bridge E-128 over the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, Monroe County, has bridge repair activities occurring through end of season.  The normal overhead clearance will not be affected. The normal width clearance will be reduced by a barge doing work beneath the bridge.  

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
