Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal/Mohawk River – Scotia to Fort Plain

October 8, 2019

Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Locks E-8 in Scotia through Lock E-15 in Fort Plain are temporarily closed due to high flows from recent heavy rainfall.

Mariners are also advised that there is no wall space available to westbound boaters at Erie Canal Lock E-7 in Vischer Ferry. Boaters should find accommodations at private marinas or the Waterford Terminal.
