Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Schoharie/Schenectady

September 13, 2019

Mariners are advised that the Burnt Hills Rowing Association will be conducting a marathon row on Saturday, September 14th. The event will start at the Schoharie Crossing west of Erie Canal Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill, continue through Lock E-8 in Scotia and finish in Alplaus near the Mohawk Valley Marina. Approximately 3 rowing shells rowing shells will participate and be accompanied by two outboard escort boats.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when approaching event participants.
