Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Schuyler

August 16, 2019

Mariners are advised that a channel encroachment exists due to dredging operations at Budlong Creek in the Town of Schuyler. The dredging area is near Buoy R546, west of Erie Canal Lock E-19 in Frankfort. When transiting this area boaters should use the south side of the navigation channel. Use caution and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph.

Please contact the dredge operator on Marine Channel 13 before proceeding through the area.
