Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Niagara/Erie Counties

August 5, 2019

Mariners are advised that bridge washing activities are in progress until the end of the navigation season on New York State Department of Transportation bridges between Main Street Bridge (E-233) in the City of Lockport and Delaware Street Bridge (E-247) in the Cities of North Tonawanda/Tonawanda. There are five bridges in this area to be washed. Work is to be completed by under-bridge truck.

Mariners should proceed with caution through these areas, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed.
