Notice to Mariners

Cayuga-Seneca Canal – Watkins Glen

Location Change – Cancel Bridge S-6 Ovid St. Inspection

July 24, 2019

 

Mariners are advised that bridge inspectors will utilize snooper trucks under Bridge S-15 4th St. SR 414, over the Seneca Canal in Watkins Glen on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Spotters will warn inspectors of approaching vessels and move the man lifts to allow vessels to pass under the bridge.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
