Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Vischer Ferry

July 12, 2019

Mariners are advised that a channel encroachment exists due to dredging operations at Vischer Ferry, Town of Clifton Park. The dredging area is between buoy R32A and buoy R34, east of Lock E-7 Vischer Ferry. When transiting this area boaters should use the south side of the navigation channel. Use caution and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph and be aware of submerged cables in the work area.

Please contact the dredge operator on Marine Channel 13 before proceeding through the area.
