Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Town of Palmyra

July 11, 2019

Reissued with overhead clearance correction

Mariners are advised that bridge repair and painting activities are scheduled to begin on July 15th to the end of the navigation season for Erie Canal Bridge E-115 Galloway Road over the Erie Canal.  The overhead clearance of this bridge will be reduced to 17’7” with signs posted on both sides of the bridge.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when traversing this area.
