Erie Canal - Waterford Flight

June 22, 2019

Mariners are advised that a submerged obstruction exists between Locks E-5 and E-6 in the Waterford Flight.

Commercial barges are currently restricted to 35 ft wide and 8 ft draft until the obstruction is removed.

Canal crews will mark the obstruction with hazard buoys and will attempt to remove the obstruction this week.
