Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal Opening Update

Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal has opened to navigation from Lock C-1 Waterford to Lock C-5 Northumberland. Boaters may access marinas as far north as the Schuylerville Yacht Basin in Schuylerville.

Canal forces are working to install the remainder of navigation and danger buoys located at dams to open the remainder of the Champlain Canal from Lock C-6 Fort Miller to Lock C-12 Whitehall as soon as possible.
