Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal

May 17, 2019

 

 Mariners are advised that some Champlain Canal buoy locations vary from their charted positions as noted on NOAA chart 14786. In addition, supplemental buoys have been placed to delineate the navigation channel in certain areas. 

 Mariners are further advised that some electronic nautical charts inaccurately project their mapping in relation to the navigation channel.

 Mariners should always verify actual conditions and not rely solely on the published charts.
