Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal – Phoenix to Fulton

September 20, 2018

 

Mariners are advised that the Oswego Canal navigation pool between Locks O1 Phoenix and O2 Fulton will be lowered approximately 3 feet for dam maintenance on Wednesday, October 3rd.  Water levels will begin dropping at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2nd and should have fully dropped by 6:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3rd to 0.2’ below the crest of the dam.  The reduced depth is expected to be sustained for 10 hours, after which time it will start to return to its normal level, conditions permitting.
