Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Tonawanda, Lockport and Royalton, Erie and Niagara Counties

September 5, 2018

Mariners are advised of bridge inspection activities on the Webster Street (E248), Route 31 (E234), Main Street (E-233), Pine Street (E232), N Adam Street (E229), Day Road (E225), Canal road (E224), Slayton Settlement (E220) Bridges over the Erie Canal from September 10 through September 29. During this period barges may encroach upon the channel occasionally. This is a “No Wake” zone. Passing vessels are to come to a complete halt and then proceed through the area at idle speed.
