Notice to Mariners

Cayuga Seneca Canal – Cayuga Lake

August 29, 2018

Mariners are advised that as of Tuesday, September 4^th the Mud Lock Boat Ramp on Cayuga Lake will be closed for the rest of the season for repairs. This is not to be confused with Cayuga-Seneca Canal Lock CS1 in Cayuga, which is commonly and informally referred to as “Mud Lock” and hence the name of the boat launch immediately upstream of its upper approach wall.

Lock CS1 will be open every day of the week from 7am until 10pm through September 12^th, and then 7am until 5pm through October 10^th according to the lock and lift bridge schedule published at /Navigation-Information/Canal-Map

Alternative boat ramps are listed at /Boating-Information and appear on the Canal Map at /Navigation-Information/Canal-Map

Features along the Cayuga-Seneca Canal (trunk line) are listed by mileage at /Navigation-Information
