Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Medina Lift Bridge

June 25, 2018

Mariners are advised that bridge repair activities will be begin on July 16 and occurring through August 4, 2018 on E-211, Medina Lift Bridge over the Erie Canal. It is expected that a barge will slightly encroach into the channel. The normal overhead clearance will not be affected.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
