Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Knowlesville Lift Bridge

May 17, 2018

 

Mariners are advised of bridge repair activities occurring through June 4, 2018 on Erie Canal Lift Bridge E-206, Knowlesville Road over the Erie Canal.  It is expected that a barge will slightly encroach into the channel. The normal overhead clearance will not be affected.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
