Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Little Falls/Herkimer

July 16, 2017

Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Buoy R “498” immediately east of Lock E-18 Jacksonburg that was previously considered lost has reappeared on-station, submerged, and with only its lifting hook above the surface. Additionally, its replacement buoy is 50 yards to the east.
