High water: Erie Canal between Lock E26 & E27. Bridge clearences lower

Notice to Mariners 

Erie Canal – Town of Galen 

May 20, 2017 

 

Mariners are advised that the water surface elevation of the navigation pool between Lock E26 Clyde and E27 Lyons has caused the overhead clearance at Bridge E-93 (abandoned railroad) to fall slightly below the published governing air draft of 15.6' for the Western Erie Canal, and will likely remain so for the rest of the day.
