Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Little Falls

August 3, 2026

 

Mariners are advised that survey operations will take place on August 3rd, on the upper pool near

Lock E-17 in Little Falls. Crews will be working from a pontoon boat beginning at 1:00 PM and will remain in the area for several hours.

Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting this area. Under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
