  Notice to Mariners

Eastern Erie Canal – Cranesville

August 1, 2026

 

Mariners are advised of a report of an off station green buoy (Aid to Navigation) east of Erie Canal Lock E-10 in Cranesville, on the north side of the navigation channel and west of buoy G191.

Boaters should proceed with caution in this area of the Canal, remain in the center of the navigation channel and travel at idle speed no more than 5 MPH. Other buoys may also be off station due to recent high water levels. Crews have been notified. An update will follow.
