  Notice to Mariners

Eastern Erie Canal – Glenville to Tribes Hill

August 1, 2026

 

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal from Lock E-8 in Glenville to Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen for navigation at 10:00am today,

August 1^st.  Boaters should use caution and be alert for floating debris, as some debris may be submerged and hard to see. Boaters must also proceed at a "No Wake" speed, not to exceed 5 mph.
