Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal – Perinton

July 29, 2026

                     

Mariners are advised that power pole replacements and an overhead conductor, over the navigation channel, will be replaced in the Town of Perinton on Wednesday, July 29^th and is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, July 31^st. These replacement activities are located west of the Lyndon Road Bridge (E-124) CRT 44. Spotters will alert workers of approaching vessels who will suspend work to allow vessels to pass through the work area. Mariners must reduce speed, stop all forward motion, sound horns, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5mph when traversing the work area. This schedule is weather dependent.
