Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Northumberland

July 22, 2026

 

Mariners are advised of possible delays at Champlain Canal Lock C-5 in Northumberland due to diving activities at the Hudson River Crossing dock, on Thursday, July 23^rd . These activities will occur from 8:00am to 9:00am. The dock is located just north of Lock C-5.

The dive area will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters must come to a full stop, use caution, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed, and under no circumstances exceed 5 mph. Boaters must avoid the diving area.
