Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal – Fulton to Oswego

July 9, 2026

 

Mariners are advised of a Paddlefest occurring on the Oswego Canal on Saturday, July 11^th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event will start downstream (north) of Oswego Canal Lock O-3 in Fulton and continue through Lock O-8 in Oswego. Approximately 275 kayaks and canoes will be participating. (SUPs) Stand Up Paddleboards are unable to pass through the locks.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when approaching event participants and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH. Law enforcement will be present.
