Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal – Brighton

July 2, 2026

 

Mariners are advised of a fireworks display on Saturday, July 4th at Meridian Centre Park in Brighton starting at 9:45 p.m. The park is located west of Erie Canal Lock E-33 in Henrietta. Fallout from the fireworks display may affect the Canalway Trail and possibly the Canal itself. Law enforcement will be present to prevent passage on the Canalway Trail.
