Champlain Canal and Hudson River

Mariners are advised of underwater inspections occurring on the Champlain Canal and Hudson River on the following schedule:
- Monday, June 22nd– Troy Terminal Wall – On the east side of the Hudson River, 300 yards south of the Congress St. Bridge.
- Tuesday, June 23rd – Champlain Canal Lock C-7 in Fort Edward – Lock chamber and surrounding area.
- Wednesday, June 24th – Champlain Canal Lock C-6 in Fort Miller - Lock chamber and surrounding area.
- Thursday, June 25th - Champlain Canal Lock C-5 in Northumberland - Lock chamber and surrounding area, north retaining wall and north guide cribs.
The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should expect delays while divers are working in and around the locks. When approaching locks and work areas boaters should stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
