Notice to Mariners

Central Erie Canal – Weedsport

June 10, 2026

 

Mariners are advised that they will experience intermittent delays at NY Route 34 Bridge (E-83) over the Erie Canal in Weedsport starting on Thursday, June 11th due to bridge replacement work. This bridge is located between Buoy R "460" and R "462". Spotters will be stationed on both sides of the bridge. Boaters must come to a full stop, use caution, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed, and under no circumstances exceed 5 mph. Bridge work is expected to be complete by the end of the day on Friday, June 19th.

Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
